Adam Durham

Adam Dutch Durham has been DJing night clubs, private parties, and weddings since 2006. In addition to DJing, Adam is also an electronic music producer for the Baltimore-based group Alternate Seduction and works as a private music teacher. Adam received his B.A. from Salisbury University and is an alumni of Berklee College of Music.

He is known his high-energy mixing style, live custom mash-ups, and diverse
music collection. He has worked productions with Gin Blossoms, Donavan
Frankenreiter, Rusted Root, Montgomery Gentry, Third World, Tonic, SOJA,
and other national artists. With over 100+ gigs a year, national distribution of
mixes, and industry experience, Adam is one of Absolute’s newest upcoming
DJs.

Adam is also an ordained minister and is available for ceremonies.

Aditya Desai

Aditya Desai has been with Absolute since 2007, working on a wide array of shows from school parties, corporate events, and weddings. With his Indian background he brings international flair to Absolute and loves finding new ways to mix the latest Hip-Hop and Pop along with the top Bollywood and Bhangra beats. A fan of all music that blends cultures and styles, he hopes to emulate world-star DJs … and he sees the dance floor as a big melting pot, and mixing songs as a way to bring crowds of all backgrounds together with one goal: to dance!

Brian Starkloff

Brian Starkloff got his start by performing for his friends graduation parties in 2005. He then branched out to do events for his family, and their friends and families. In no time at all, Brian had birthday parties, high school proms, homecomings and college sorority/fraternity parties under his belt… adding weddings in 2009.

Brian quickly became a crowd favorite! With flawless mixing ability and a wide variety of music knowledge, Brian is ready to make your party!

Tengo 18 anos de experiencia como DJ profesional, He sido contratada por el Banco Mundial , El proyecto Mautner, Equality MD, Hero en Baltimore y muchas otras organizaciones. Devin Bradley

Devin Bradley is a young, energetic DJ with talent to spare. Devin is a graduate of Bowie State University 09′ with a degree in Computer Science and Music and has performed many events to include Homecomings, Proms and College Formals. Devin has grown with Absolute Entertainment providing outstanding service, excelling in youth events and even weddings. As a DJ and drummer, Devin has been influenced by all types of music, including HipHop and R&B. Not limited to any style of music, Devin can handle any type of event and live up to the expectation… and more!

Edward Zaruba

Edward Zaruba started DJing with Absolute Entertainment in 2003, gaining recognition as one of the company’s best technicians. He then moved into private parties, school and karaoke events. Eddie is currently one of AE’s top requested wedding DJ’s, always has a positive outlook, and his effervescent personality is very contagious! He loves all genres of music, and is Absolute’s expert in country!

Gary Rasmussen

Gary Rasmussen has been a DJ since the late 1990′s. Gary does all type of events, specializing in video and karaoke. Gavin O’Leary

Gavin O’Leary has been an Absolute DJ since 2010 and is loving every minute of it. Originally introduced to Absolute through friend and premiere DJ Jacob Jensen, Gavin has honed his DJing skill greatly over the last few years. Gavin also holds a B.A. in Audio Technology from UMBC and, in addition to DJing, works as a professional audio technician for outdoor concerts and fashion shows on the Eastern seaboard.

Gordon Thorn

Gordon Thorn – My musical background came from my parents. I can remember my father inviting some of his solders over to listen to music on his reel to reel. My mother playing the song of the week … while we were doing our chores. Growing up around music made me want to pursue it even further, so I joined the school band and played the saxophone, formed groups, and even sang in the choir. With this profound knowledge and love I began to spin records. I’ve played at clubs, schools, social events, private events and weddings. There isn’t an artist or genre I haven’t played or listened too!

Jacob Jensen

Jacob Jensen started DJing with Absolute Entertainment in 2006, earning the well deserved title as AE’s “super roadie”! …and now, currently one of AE’s best wedding DJ’s with rave reviews! Jake received his B.A. in Clarinet Performance from UMBC in Spring 2009. Always upbeat, Jake loves to see what he can get the crowd to dance to, especially mixing the classics with the current. Jake is also the only staff member fluent in Danish.

Jami Hampton Grandt

Jami Hampton Grandt, Absolute Entertainment’s office manager, has been a DJ with the company since 2000. Jami started her DJ career performing at school events, private parties and charity events. She is now exclusive to wedding receptions. Jami has had a great love for music all her life … playing the trumpet since grade school. Becoming a DJ was a natural progression in her musical career. Jami graduated from UMBC in 2007 with her B.A. in American Studies and Gender Studies, as well as obtained her Master of Arts in Teaching at Loyola University Maryland in 2010.

Jason Wallace

Jason Wallace started his deejay career in high school doing individual private parties and joined our office staff in 2004. Jason had the pleasure of attending a wedding (as the best man) of his best friend … a wedding performed by President Ken Rochon. Jason was so impressed by the structure, professionalism and seamless transitions from song to song, that he wanted to “come on board” and fine tune his craft here at Absolute!

Since then, Jason’s positive attitude has had an infectious effect on other staff members, deejays, wedding professionals and clients alike. Jason handles many types of events and is currently a wedding specialist, mixologist and the General Manager of Absolute Entertainment.

Jason likes all genre’s of music and has done numerous multi-ethnic events, as well as those that include oldies and motown, disco and funk, and his knowledge and collection of current pop, hip-hop, mash-up’s and club remixes is overwhelming! Jeff Barbi

Jeff Barbi began developing his mixing skills long before he ever touched a crossfader. At the age of 7, he began playing drums and continues to play, giving him the musical ear to deliver seamless high-energy mixes all night long. Jeff spent most weekends in college deejaying at fraternity/sorority events, where he mastered his ability to raise every hand in the room…and keep them there. John Armetta

John Armetta has been performing with Absolute Entertainment since 2004, and is available for weddings and social events. Prior to joining us, John was a guitarist and vocalist for a local wedding band for 12 years. John is an “absolute” workhorse, and he loves to party!

John Paul Berry

John Paul Berry was around at the beginning, during the inception of “AbsoluteSounds”, designing the original look and handling the marketing duties. Many years later, “JP” is now the VP and Director of Operations … and assuming another vital role … DJ! 2002 began with an exodus, out with the old, in with the new … and John Paul soon became one of the most requested performers for weddings. Along with that, John Paul can be seen at charity events, food tastings, wine tastings, and bridal shows.

John Paul has also traveled extensively in his life, visiting over 90 countries and territories … over 60 of those since 2005 … collecting music to add to the Absolute Entertainment “World Music” database. John Paul typically books up on popular Saturday’s more than 12 months in advance, so ask for your personalized demonstration today!

John Paul was recently elected to serve on the Board of Directors for Baltimore’s NACE (National Association of Catering Executives) Chapter, and has also worked to assist in producing their Annual Award-Winning Fundraiser “Uncorked!” to benefit Meals on Wheels. Ken Rochon

After 28 years as an entrepreneur, Ken Rochon is just getting started…

It was always a dream of his to have music be the way he lives. After learning he didn’t have the talent to play an instrument, he started studying the craft of being a deejay. Little did he know back in 1982, that it would define and shape his life. He has currently been to about 75 countries around the world in hopes of learning more about their culture, language and most important to him, their music. His collection of world music is one of his prized possessions, and one that he will gladly share with any one having an event that wants to incorporate practically any cultural style into the mix of music available.

Today, he is a published author; a world traveler; a mixologist of world music for his company AbsoluteEntertainment.com; co-host of Team Radio Baltimore; co-star of the brand-new local reality show “Good Fellas of Baltimore”; and the visionary builder and co-founder of PerfectNetworker.com and the budding online leadership empire PerfectWorldNetwork.com.

His love of language has taken him around the world only to find a real need for people to learn how simple it is to connect when you understand the basics of communication. He experienced first hand the power of language by using simple expressions and a smile to engage and form friendships. The “Making Friends Around the World” book is a linguistic approach to teaching kids how to interact through an understanding of cultural differences and simple expressions that allow a bond of a smile to be created.

Matt Misroch

Matt Misroch has been studying ballroom dance since 2005. He taught at Arthur Murray Dance Studios for 3 years before attending UMBC. As of 2010, Matt has been DJing and waltzing at Absolute Entertainment since friend and fellow DJ Gavin O’Leary introduced him to the craft. He happily teaches ballroom to anyone who asks. He is currently working on a Philosophy/Psychology double major at UMBC. He is also a certified scuba diver.

Morgan Williams

Morgan Williams is a New England transplant from the great state of Connecticut. He is an experienced, professional DJ suitable for your high profile wedding. Peter Nictas

Peter Nictas (DJ Nixtas) has been a Greek/American DJ for over 10 years. From a young age his affinity towards music was well established. He started taking piano lessons in grade school and attributes his intensive study of classical music on the piano as the foundation to his musical career. He picked up percussion in his high school years as well as finding a love for the dramatic arts. That was the groundwork for exercising his talent in entertainment. He always toyed with the idea of DJing, putting mix tapes together and finding songs that match up in tempo and rhythm. He picked up the headphones in his late teens and spending lots of his time in different clubs, he became classically trained in the art of beat mixing, tempo control, and proper song selection through a set. Now, he has taken all his hard work and experience, and branched out doing private parties – as large as Greek weddings to simple birthday parties. His expertise in Greek and American music makes him a prime candidate for coordinating an event that will cater to both sides of the family. His love for music shines in every performance and he will surely bring life to any event, large or small.

Ric Brown

Ric Brown started DJing at the age of 14 as a part of an impromtu gig for an high school cast party. Always fascinated by music, Ric has been hooked on spinning parties wherever they may be. Since 1999, Ric has called Absolute Entertainment home when met President Ken Rochon at a bridal event. Over the years, Ric has performed at various functions, from private parties to corporate events and weddings. Ric Brown can also be seen at Maryland’s RenFest annually.

Roderick Horried

Roderick Horried is a veteran of over 20 years, and plays for every event imaginable, from karaoke parties to weddings. Rod is very good natured, and clients always rave about how pleasant he is to work with! Rod’s music library is as extensive as it gets… he loves everything!

Ryan Walburn

Ryan Walburn started DJing with Absolute Entertainment in 2006, first as an assistant, and now for college events, private parties and weddings. Ryan started out early in life with being the focus of attention, hitting the stage at a young age, and ended up being a finalist for the role of “Dennis the Menace” in the ’90s. Ryan also plays guitar, and has taught as well as played locally. Ryan’s skill mixed with GQ looks have made him an Absolute favorite since the beginning!

Stephen Pettigrew

Stephen “Stefon” Pettigrew started out as a DJ assistant in the New York City
Bar Scene in 2001. Watching the crowd’s reaction to the DJ’s playlist made
Stefon eager to get behind the turntables himself. Stefon has DJ’d a wide
variety gigs in Maryland, DC, Philadelphia, and NYC, spanning from the hottest
Night Clubs to Community Church events. Stefon is currently the “Promotions
Coordinator” for CBS Radio Baltimore, overseeing events for both WLIF (Lite
FM) and WHFS (97.5 HFS). Stefon’s overall goal is to become the people’s
favorite DJ.

TJ Garman started Djing in 9th grade for friends birthday parties, and now, only a few years later, is highly requested for a variety of private events, including weddings. TJ has performed at many area schools proms, homecomings and yearly parties, and is one of AE’s top requested school DJ’s!
